Investigation of the polyphenol composition of red oak (Quercus rubra L.) raw materials

The aim of the work was to determine main groups polyphenolic compounds in Quercus rubra L. raw materials.
 Materials and methods. leaves annual shoots Northern Red Oak used for research were collected August Lisnyky village Obuhiv district Kyiv Oblast (Ukraine). Determination component composition quantitative content flavonoids (including separately catechins), hydroxycinnamic acids, phenolic acids carried out samples air-shade-dried crushed material a particle size 3 mm by method high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Agilent Technologies 1200 chromatograph chromatography.Results. Using HPLC method, 18 identified Oak, particular, flavonoids: rutin, quercetin-3-β-glucoside, luteolin, neohesperidin; catechins: catechin, epicatechin, epicatechin gallate, gallocatechin; acids: chlorogenic, caffeic, trans-ferulic, trans-cinnamic, p-coumaric, hydroxyphenylacetic, benzoic, syringic, sinapic acids; acid is gallic acid. dominant among rutin (323.43 mg/100 g) (in catechins, gallate (25.45 prevails); materials, chlorogenic (139.62 (74.64 prevail.Conclusions. obtained results point prospects further phytochemical pharmacological studies with creating new plant substances based on it antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiviral activity
